Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well and encouraged. I wanted to share some updates, some exciting opportunities, and a few next steps in my journey over the coming months.

June DTS Cancellation & Reflection

As many of you know, the June Discipleship Training School (DTS) has been cancelled. While this news was initially disappointing, I took some intentional time—first in community with my team and then in personal prayer and reflection—to seek God’s guidance for what comes next. It’s never easy to pivot from our plans, but I’m continually reminded that, when doors close, God often opens even better ones.

Reconnecting with Educating For Life (EFL)

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been invited back to serve with Educating For Life (EFL), this ministry is a teacher training ministry. Many of you have heard me speak of EFL’s commitment to equipping teachers to understand how God views education across underserved and hard-to-reach regions; it’s a cause that’s very close to my heart. Over the next few months, I’m delighted to be rejoining my former colleagues:

  • Outreaches in East Africa: 🇰🇪 🇹🇿

  • I will have the opportunity to attend an EFL teacher conference in Kenya as well as participate in a teacher training in Tanzania.

Between now and preparing for August, I’m planning on serving with the Prayer & Worship team, focusing specifically on sound ministry—from setting up PA systems to mixing live worship sessions. I do not possess the technical skills, but I believe this is what God wants me to do in the in-between to help create an atmosphere of praise, in our morning prayer sets.

Looking Ahead to January 2026 DTS

Although June’s DTS isn’t happening, my commitment to the January 2026 DTS remains unwavering. Fire & Fragrance South Africa (FFSA) is undertaking a major overhaul of their DTS staff training, and I’m privileged to be part of it. Beginning in September, I’ll embark on:

  1. Leadership Development Modules: Cultivating servant-leadership, team dynamics, and conflict resolution

  2. In-Depth Bible Study: Diving into Scripture with an emphasis on missional theology and discipleship methods

  3. 10–12 Day Staff Outreach: Applying our training in one of our neighboring nations—Namibia 🇳🇦, Botswana 🇧🇼, Lesotho 🇱🇸, Zambia 🇿🇲, Eswatini 🇸🇿, or Mozambique 🇲🇿—where we’ll partner with local churches and ministries

This comprehensive program will equip me—and the rest of the staff team—to lead future DTS sessions with renewed vision and practical competence.

Trusting God’s Greater Plan

I won’t pretend this season has been without its frustrations. I was genuinely excited for the

June 2025 DTS and the relationships we would have built together. Yet, through this process, I’ve been reminded that God’s timing is perfect. He’s already at work weaving these experiences—both the cancellations and the new invitations—into a tapestry far richer than anything I could design on my own.

Before I close this newsletter, I want to share a vision the Lord gave me in late May. In it, I found myself running up a steep hill with all my strength, tall grass and bushes whipping past as I pressed on. Though nothing around me seemed to change, I ran with unexpected joy and steadfast endurance. When I finally crested the summit, I looked down into a broad valley—an endless savanna crisscrossed by rivers and teeming with lush plants and wildlife. To me, this vision speaks of God’s plan: far greater than I can imagine, and worth pursuing with integrity, perseverance, and joy.
